The Wizard of Oz is pure magic — a swirl of twisters, ruby slippers, and talking scarecrows that sweep us away from the ordinary. But when we revisit L. Frank Baum’s classic as adults, something incredible happens: the yellow brick road doesn’t just lead to Emerald City, it winds straight back to us.

I decided to re-read The Wonderful Wizard of Oz one rainy weekend, half expecting a charming fairy tale. Instead, I found something else a deeper, smarter, and surprisingly modern story about finding courage, questioning authority, and learning that “home” isn’t always a place. It’s a realisation and how  the Yellow Brick Road was a promise of adventure. As adults, it’s a metaphor for growth — the winding, sometimes confusing path that teaches us more than the destination ever could.

Every detour, flying monkey, and poppy field feels like a reminder: you’re still walking your own yellow brick road. And while Emerald City may change forms like a career goal or a partner simple  lessons remain timeless:

like how Courage lives in action ,Wisdom grows in reflection, Heart shines through kindness And “home” is wherever you remember who you really are.
